RECOMMENDATIONS GUIDELINES FOR THE USE OF FIBROSE SAUSAGE CASINGS

The fibrose casing is cellulose-based casingreinforced with natural long-fiber abaca paper. Due to its strength and stability of calibers, fibrose sheath is traditionally considered one of the most versatile and comprehensive packaging materials.

Chemical composition:

Component Colored or transparent Highly pigmented
Regenerated cellulose, % 50 40
Long-fiber paper, % 25 20
Plasticizer, % 20 20
Water, % 5 5
Pigment, % <1 15
Adhesive component, % <1 <1

Main Features:

Casing thickness: 80 microns + 25%. Vapor permeability: + 20 km /m2/ / 24 hours.

Oxygen permeability: 3000-6000 ml /m2/ / 24 hours. Shrinkage: max 11%.

Production method:

Fibrotic membranes are a modified form of cellulose membrane, where the fibrotic web is covered with cellulose. There are two methods of producing fibrotic membranes called SVC and DVC. Depending on the method, the fibrosis can be covered with cellulose on one or both sides.

Typical properties of the SVC and DVC casings:

SVC – single viscose coating DVC – double viscose coating
Shiny surface of the finished product Matt surface of the finished product
Matt appearance of the cleaned product Glossy appearance of the cleaned product
Higher adhesion  Wider choice of adhesion
Less sensitivity to fatty edema Greater overfill
Low shrinkage High shrinkage
Eliminates the effect of milkiness Better machinability due to fine structure

Assortment

The correct choice of adhesion for each individual product is an incredibly important task, casings have a wide range of degrees of casing adhesion. The main types of adhesion are: High adhesion (for the production of raw smoked and dried sausage products), low degree of adhesion for the production of boiled, boiled-smoked and semi-smoked products; easy-to-remove casing -designed for the production of sausage products with subsequent cleaning.

Available casing calibers from 28 to 240 mm, the fibrose casing range also includes a wide range of casing colors and shades to meet all customer requirements.

Also, the manufacturer of the fibrotic casings offers three types of the casings itself: standard type (the thickest wall), lightweight type (paper with a smaller thickness is used), stretchable type (the thinnest paper, with very high elasticity).
